Elise and Jonathan’s Connecticut Wedding Photos Featured on StyleMePretty

I was thrilled when the leading wedding blog StyleMePretty decided to feature Elise and Jonathan’s summer wedding. A lot of people wondered if the venue was a private residence (yes, the bride’s parents’ house) and who designed the wedding dress (Melissa Sweet). This was a classic, romantic wedding with a Gatsby-inspired theme and the couple and their bridal party were great sports when it came to having fun with the formal portraits. More images from their wedding are on my blog under Photos/Weddings.

Caryn & Chris – Princeton University Prospect House Wedding Photos

This wedding had a relaxed feeling from start to finish. There were vintage elements and some of the photos, especially the black and white portraits, transport you to another era. The gardens right outside the Prospect House venue made it easy to take the couple photos in a short amount of time. Some of the images are deliberately out of focus to blur the lush landscape with the essence of the couple.

Amanda and Jason’s Wedding on Merci New York wedding blog

This summer at the Long House Reserve, a wonderful sculpture garden in East Hampton, I photographed Amanda and Jason’s intimate family-only wedding. It reminded me of my own wedding – 17 people at an upstate inn with a Babette’s Feast style dining table …

One of the leading wedding planning blogs – Merci New York – loved the photos so much that they featured the wedding. I’ll be posting more images from Amanda and Jason’s wedding soon so come back to see more.

Debra & Steven – St. Regis Hotel New York Wedding Photography

The wedding reception was on the top floor of the St. Regis Hotel in a room surrounded by windows. It felt like being on a cloud floating above Manhattan. The natural light made for wonderful candids. Debra and Steven wanted a child-friendly daytime wedding. Everyone had a blast, especially the kids. You’ll see that in the photos.undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined

Chris & Ben – Brooklyn Wedding Photography at The Green Building

Chris and Ben had a funky little Brooklyn wedding this past July (on the hottest day of the summer) at The Green Building. Their wedding was full of unique and original ideas – starting with a processional over the Gowanus canal with the bride and the important women in her life. To keep it fun, they were accompanied by the Slavic Soul Band. Chris did a disco throw back with her magenta dress and gold lame shoes. The show-stopper cake – by Betty Bakery – was inspired by the couple’s courtship in Alaska where they had met. I photograph all kinds of weddings, and this one had a lot of soul and good old fashioned DIY charm. Enjoy!
