Bowery Hotel Wedding Photos – Abigail and Derek

The Bowery Hotel is one of my favorite venues to photograph in because I love the mix of rustic elegance with the urban gritty environment. The photos are a perfect blend of the quiet calm before the wedding and energy and excitement during the reception. The mastermind behind this beautiful wedding was Jennifer Zabinsky of JZ Events who I’ve known forever and love working with (hi Jennifer!). Abigail and Derek are super fine  – so stylish, sophisticated. The quintessential NY couple.

Emerson Resort Wedding – Meaghan and John

It’s been about a year since Meaghan and John were married at the Emerson Resort, a perfect place for a country wedding with city style. Their beautiful wedding was was featured on Style Me Pretty. My good friends at Steven Bruce Designs did the flowers. Over the past year, Meaghan and John have been busy and are now expecting their first child. I had a chance to catch up with them when they came to Brooklyn for a maternity shoot. Count down till the new addition to their family arrives … can’t wait to meet him/her. See you guys in Philly.

Brooklyn Engagement Photo Shoot – Shera and Dan

Anyone who lives in Brooklyn knows how challenging it is to eat at Grimaldi’s. There’s always a line up for their famous pizza. So, thanks Shera and Dan for sharing your pie with me. And, thanks for being so awesome to photograph. We started the day at Gemma in the Bowery Hotel and then  headed over to Brooklyn to mix it up. They called ahead to order the pizza (very smart) so we avoided the huge line. Who knew eating a pizza could be ‘amorous’. I really love the variety of photos which are a combo of fun and playful and dreamy romantic. My absolute favorite is the black and white of them on Pier I with the Manhattan skyline in the background. The soft focus gives it a vintage/timeless quality. You guys were a lot of fun to work with … can’t wait to get started editing through the wedding pictures. Stay tuned …

Tarrytown House Estate – Wedding Portraits

While photographing in Alyssa’s bridal suite last weekend I captured these sumptuous portraits as final hair and make-up was underway. Alyssa and Alex were married at the Tarrytown House Estate in the Hudson Valley. Their wedding was a full out party. More photos soon…. .

Guastavino’s Wedding Photos New York – Mara & Jon – Part 2

Here’s part 2 of this super beauty of a wedding. I loved photographing at Guastavino’s which has amazing architectural details. Mara and Jon added a hint of spring to their March wedding with all the rich colored flowers. But the soaring ceilings and unique details of Guastinvo’s didn’t need much extra decor. It’s also a great venue for large weddings. They had 250 guests and there was plenty of room for everyone to cut loose on the dance floor.
